She was always one of the few rock stars who could play the femme fatale of noir film convincingly, and later video clips where she plays the girl next door or rides horses are as convincingly healthy and open air as the earlier ones are claustrophobic and passionate. The swaying beats of her songs, the throaty delicate passion of her singing, the sheer beauty of her presence as a performer--all of these are well served by this excellent collection of videos.
